By 2012 all campaigning may be done by video. Evidence? Here's a video communication from Obama to his supporters warning them of overconfidence.

Keep an eye on the guy on the bike.

The polls in Pennsylvania are showing no consistent trend - other than an Obama advantage - despite the intensive attention being paid to voters by McCain and Palin.

For the past week, Obama has held a lead marked by its fluctuation from 4 percent to 14 percent. One piece of evidence that may indicate some gains by McCain is that the latest poll, by NBC/Mason Dixon and in the field on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, gives Obama the 4 point lead.

But a Marist poll, done the 26th and 27th gives Obama a 14 point lead.

Those fluctuations explain why McCain has hope, and Obama is releasing videos like the one above. The average of all recent polls gives Obama a 9.5 percent lead.

BAD news for PA from Associated Press: Obama Tells SF Chronicle He Will Bankrupt Coal Industry By P.J. Gladnick November 2, 2008 - 07:26 ET Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview vanished. Here is the transcript of Obama's statement about bankrupting the coal industry: Let me sort of describe my overall policy. What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there. I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year. So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted. Story Continues Below Ad ↓ That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches. The only thing I've said with respect to coal, I haven't been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a (sic) ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it. So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them.

Not only does Obama say he will bankrupt the coal industry in the hidden tape to the SF Chronicle, he told editors that his policies would make energy prices "skyrocket" as the energy industry passed along the exorbitant costs of his cap & trade policies. That's how he wants to get to alternative energy; punishment. Punishment seems to be his way to achieve all his goals. We need a transition to alternative energy that doesn't punish us and destroy our economy more. hear more of the tape at: http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/02/obama-ill-make-energy-prices-skyrocket/

That post about the coal industry is vital information to get out in as many posts around the country, especially in PA,Ohio,WV,Virginia, etc. Why has this been under raps for so long?Stand up,Pennsylvania! Don't let a fraud, lier, and politician that is funded by wealthy factions that hate America(Soros,Syria,Iraq) win this election.Go to the polls early on Tuesday and stand there as long as it takes to let your voice be heard;WE WILL NOT BE BOUGHT!

Obama's economic plans would be bad for everyone. In addition to raising EVERYONE'S taxes, which is evident by his changing $$ amount almost daily,he would punish small business, and his capital gains taxes would send more busines overseas or lead to larger layoffs. How many friends do you have that are working for a poor person?Obama's rhetoric is only targetting class warfare, which doesn't help anyone. It's a typical Saul Alinsky tactic that he trained under so well in his community organizing and is designed to cause resentment and divisiveness.Listen to any immimgrant from Cuba or Venezuela and they can tell you the signs they've seen before. They came to America for the freedom and opportunities we have, and now Obama wants to destroy that opportunity and redistribute by what he thinks is "fair".

250,000, 200,000, 150,000, 120,000. Pretty soon the middle class who will be receiving "tax cuts" will be down to 42,000(the income level on which Barack has voted to raise taxes on in the past).

It's a good thing Obama was such a strong advocate for reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. What's that, you say, he was the second largest recipient of Fannie Mae campaign contributions and selected that ever present defender of the middle class, Jim Johnson(former Fannie Mae executive who raked in millions), to select his VP nominee?

Obama's energy, tax, and spending policies will turn a crisis into a catastrophe. Obama's energy policy is nonexistent and will increase dependence on foreign oil(the last time we had a windfall profits tax under Jimmy Carter our dependence on foreign oil grew). The last time a President raised taxes in a recession was Herbert Hoover(in 1932) and unemployment jumped 8% the next year. Obama's free wheeling spending frenzy will bankrupt whatever funds are left in this country.

I appreciate the Unity of this blog and respectful dialog on the issues from divergent viewpoints. I sense a Change coming over the last few days. I also like the new Obama ad's Rear View Mirror theme, very creative looking to past (BTW. the past Obama is pretty interesting stuff also..although most is fuzzy, or a blocked channel). Anyway, let me pause now for a commercial interruption. PSST. Have you looked in your Rear View Mirror Obama fans…. McCain is passing on the RIGHT. Schwarzenegger is riding shotgun! McCain-Palin will wait for you at the finish line on Nov 4th Obama is going to lose, the polls are now looking outstanding for a McCain win. Keep in mind Kerry was leading by 17% two weeks out in 04 and was leading by 6% on election day, but lost by 3%. McCain will be president elect on November 5th, join the Momentum Now.

This is absolutely astounding! Obama uses Bobby Kennedy's old desk in the Senate and started his run for the Senate in Bill Ayers' living room. Now we find out that Ayers 1974 communist manifesto included a dedication to, of all people, Sirhan Sirhan,Bobby's assassin! How can any self respecting Democrat vote for Obama with this knowledge? How can Teddy Kennedy continue to support him? Astounding!

Luther: substantiate your claims about the nobel winners and economics professors. Of course we tax the top earners heavily. That's how it's always been. However, they still manage to live in mansions, buy yachts, and drive maseratis. And guess what! When and if Obama is elected, they'll still be able to buy that stuff! Amazing! But maybe, just maybe, the middle class consumers will get a break too. Hasn't happened for a while. Middle class wages flat, prices skyrocketing, plutocrats' incomes rising to the stars. Sounds like a recipe for economic disaster. Like the one we're in now. Oh, and here's a quote from the tax article you cited: "AGI has risen by over 81 percent for the top 1 percent (an average of over 20 percent per year) and 17 percent (an average of around 4 percent per year) for the bottom 50 percent." Were you hoping no one would notice. You're a fraud.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT ---- Obama's buddy, William Ayers, dedicated his 1974 book to Bobby Kennedy's assassin Sirhan Sirhan. (It's the same William Ayers who hosted Obama's political kickoff party in his house.)

Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) lowers Obama's threshold for "rich" again. Now families earning under $120,000 will get a tax hike. Plus, when the Bush tax cuts expire, taxes on everyone will go up.

Obama wants to take money from the achievers because they're greedy and evil. That's not compassion. If you were compassionate, Obama, you'd spend your millions to help get your Aunt Zeituni out of the Boston slum and to help your brother escape that hut in Kenya. Caring starts with family!

5 nobel prize winners and 100 economics professors around the country say Obama's plan is flawed. Obama's tax plan if implemented will be a disaster on the US economy. His idea is not new. Other nations like Sweden have tried it and it failed. Why? It's a self-defeating proposition that leads to a taxed-to-the-eyeballs bloated welfare state with no jobs. Bottom-line - everyone loses. Latest IRS numbers show we already tax top wage earners heavily. IRS data reveals the top 50% of US wage earners pay 97.01% of the countries taxes. It's no wonder we're losing jobs overseas. Are you surprised? What we have here is Obama telling the folks that only pay 2.99% of all income taxes that they are somehow being cheated. What a sham! A summary of 2006 tax data is available from The Tax Foundation - http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.html The raw data is available from the IRS - http://www.irs.gov/taxstats/indtaxstats/article/0,,id=133521,00.html

Look at the polls Nathan. Look inside them and you will see total sampling bias towards Obama. You will not see a poll that is 58% male and 50% over 60 but the polls have instead shown only 20% of voters will be over 65 and 58% of voters will be women. When the polls all oversample one candidate's base over another that is how they can ALL be wrong.

In my Humble Opinion, here is a Fundamental Difference between Obama’s voters and McCain supporters: Obama’s voters pay greater attention to RHETORIC and its PRESENTATION. They believe in REDISTRIBUTION of WEALTH and Entitlement. They are NOT CONCERN with registration FRAUD or Obama’s FRIENDS that PREACHED HATE toward America, Whites and Jews. They think it is O.K. to HANG a WHITE WOMAN as a Halloween decoration, just because they disagree with her politically. They believe in larger government. McCain supporters judge a man based on CHARACTER, INTEGRITY, JUDGMENT, EXPERIENCE and Ability to Reach ACROSS the AISLE. They believe that the job Does Not Lend itself to on the Job Training. They believe in Free Markets and FREE and UNBIASED PRESS. They believe that the Government is a Problem Not a Solution. And more importantly, THEY KNOW that YOU CANNOT HELP MEN PERMANENTLY, BY DOING FOR THEM WHAT THEY COULD AND SHOULD, DO FOR THEMSELVES. “Faced with crisis, the man of character falls back upon himself.”

tim: The Times is basically the Fox News of England, spun in a conservative bent. A recession is inevitable, thanks to Bush's economic policies. Change will take time, but it will come. Maybe Obama will pull us out of it before it becomes a depression, maybe not. McCain will do no better.

For all of you blindly following Obama, based only on his speaking abilities and your ignorance of reality, read this; By Tim Reid, The Times of London Barack Obama's senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week's election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harboring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve. The financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign of soaring rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change". One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, "so there's not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair." If he is elected, I can't wait to see him and all of you, his loyal sheep, fall flat on your collective face. Apparently, that will be what it takes for you to see reality behind his smoke screens.

To add on to what GA said: this can also be attributed to the job migration to foreign countries. Companies can't justify paying their CEOs exorbitant salaries AND paying American workers a living wage. Therefore executives find cheaper labor elsewhere: China, India, Mexico, other countries. It can't stand, and it won't -- one way or the other. Either the middle class will perish and we will revert to a feudal system, or a wise and visionary leader will attempt to effect a more equitable arrangement. Guess which leader that is? lonewolf, your first guess is wrong.

I am so sick of McCain muppets saying Obama is "spreading the wealth" and taking their money. The vast majority of these people don't have any wealth. They seem to forget that he is talking about a graduated income tax. This has been part of the American taxation code since the 1930's. Remember the last time so few people had all the money? It was called the roaring 20's. What followed was the Great Depression. Killing off the middle class didn't work then, and won't work now. If Obama doesn't try and get the average person some of the wealth, do these people think the filthy rich CEO's of fortune 500 companies are going to spread it around and get some it ot them? They are the ones who stopped giving workers raises and stripped away our benefits, and then got huge bonuses for doing it.

Well, Leron, looks like McCain is the perfect candidate for you then. He's been wrong for months and months too. Wrong yesterday. Wrong today. Wrong tommorow. Here's what I've been saying for months: McCain will lose his seat in the Senate when he's up for reelection. He run the most dishonorable, dishonest, embarressing. poorly managed presidential campaign in modern history. He's really shown the type of person that he is. Once he loses the election, I don't know how he can look himself in the mirror. A woman in one of his audience says Obama is a Arab. What does McCain say: "No ma'am. He's a good, honorable man." Uh, so is he implying that Arabs are dishonorable and bad? I'm sure that went over well with our Arab allies in the war on terrorism. He's a relic from the Cold War who's approach is out of date and out of sync with the 21st century. That nonsense doesn't work anymore. Thinks are a little more complicated and sophisticated for someone who is so careless about what comes out of his mouth. We don't need a erratic hot head running our country.

LoserDemocracy, Are you serious? McCain has campaigned on econimic policies that are identical to George Bush. He has been saying for two years that the Bush policies delivered an awesome economy and as recently as a month ago that the fundamentals of this economy are sound even though dozens of major publications were warning of issues in the banking industry. McCain is a powerful Senator with access to any econimist inside or outside the government. The only thing McCain wanted to talk about before the banking industry collapsed was the surge in Iraq. It was the one out of a hundred things he got right about the war. While he was saying that we'd be in Iraq for another 10 years, Bush and the Iraq goverment were negotiating a timeline for withdrawing our troops so apparently McCain wasn't privy to what was going on and was, once again, wrong. There is now consensus amogn economists that the "free market/trickle down" Republican economic philosophy has been a failure. It produced historic deficits, almost no jobs and the near ruin of the banking industry that put 100 year old companies out of business. Since then, McCain has not changed any economic policies and is still calling for making permanent the failed policy of giving huge tax cuts to the wealthy. Obama has said he will offset any spending with spending cuts. There;s no question what McCain would do. He was a major player in the crew that increased overall spending that created a huge deficit that he funded by getting a loan from Communist Chin. That's what all of the experience McCain has delivered. Look at the economy. That's what the Republicans produced. And you're cheerleading for more? McCain isn't risky. He a sure bet to be a disaster. It's time for a change. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN WHAT McCAIN PRODUCE. The only thing worse would be the Great Depression and we're not out of this mess yet. McCain would almost guarantee a depression unless he completely revises his economic policies.

McCain, by his own admission, has no grasp of economics, which was plainly evident by him "suspending" his campaign to go to Washington, where he attended a meeting with White House officials and other congressional leaders and said nothing. He didn't even ask any questions. His campaign has been mismanaged from the beginning, unfocused and unable to inspire broad swaths of the electorate toward any achievable goal. His judgment on both wars--in Iraq, where he said we would be greeted as liberators, and Afghanistan, which he described as "in the bag"--has proven faulty. Who, exactly, is supposed to be the rookie in your argument? As for your handle--LostDemocracy--I think that happened under the Bush adminstration, with its flouting of basic Constitutional principles and his monkeying with the U.S. legal system for political purposes. Your argument is as weak as the Tampa Bay Rays, and so is your candidate. Go Obama.

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO TRUST IN THESE TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES? Should you trust a proven veteran with ability to reform and work across the aisle or the most liberal, partisan and rookie senator who wants to "spread around" your hard earned dollars? Our corporations are forced to raise capital from foreigners - so is it time to cut capital gains taxesas McCain will and allow Americans to benefit from taking a risk in these volatile markets, or is it time to raise capital gains taxes as Obama promises? Last US president which stopped free trade during recession ( Obama’s plan ) was Hoover and we all know that what followed - the Great Depression. On top of 700 Billions bailout Obama wants to spend another TRILLION dollars on his health care reform. Guess what - it will cost much more and will not achieve even fraction of expected results. OBAMA SAYS: “YES WE CAN” MCCAIN SAYS: “YES WE WILL” THIS IS NOT A TIME TO TAKE A RISK WITH LIBERAL ROOKIE - MCCAIN IS THE RIGHT CHANGE WE NEED
