Thomas Fitzgerald reports:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton holds a 51 to 44 percent lead among likely Democratic primary voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released this morning.

“Pennsylvania voters apparently made up their minds a couple of weeks ago and nothing has happened since to change them. An extraordinary turnout effort by Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign could snatch this victory from Sen. Hillary Clinton, but that does not appear likely,” said Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the university's Polling Institiute.

“Sen. Obama got off message after his ‘bitter’ remarks and never regained his momentum, giving Sen. Clinton the opening to fight another day in Indiana and North Carolina," Richards said. "She wins in Western Pennsylvania; he wins in the East. She gets Catholics, white women and blue-collar labor vote. He captures men, blacks and college grads – and enough delegates to keep his edge in the number that counts most.”

The poll was conducted April 18-20, surveying 1,027 likely Democratic voters. Results are subjec to an error margin of plus or minus 3 percent.

Nobama!! Go Hillary. Obama is trying to buy his nomination with 8 million dollars worth of TV ads. See this opinion piece by Rendell - he has laid out very clearly why he supports Hillary :”Hillary – right for Pennsylvania, right for America. The bottom line is this: She is best prepared to be the commander in chief of our military and our economy starting on Day 1”. By Edward G. Rendell from the April 21, 2008 edition From the Christian Science Monitor. Pennsylvanians - do the right thing and give Hillary a double digit win tomorrow. You won't regret it. She will do right by you. Obama has proven he will do whatever is politically expedient to win. His campaign is much more negative than Hillary’s yet he denies that with a big smile, all the time laughing behind your backs.

Obama's home states are Illinois, Kansas and Hawaii. Hillary's home states are Ark, NY, and PA. If Obama can close to under 10 points in Hillary's home state, then he beat her. We can't let another "entitled" liar inherit the White House. We learned our lesson with George W Bush. They take the American people for granted.

“Now one of Clinton’s Laws of Politics is this,” Mr. Clinton says. “If one candidate’s trying to scare you and the other one’s trying to get you to think; if one candidate’s appealing to your fears and the other one’s appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope. That’s the best.” Thats Bill Clinton in 2004

I laugh at the silly posts people make about Obama. As if just anyone gets to be one of the 100 senators. He's got substance. Hillary, on the other hand, had to be married to a president to get elected. Now she continues to tear apart the party.

Interesting if the Dems did their Primaries the way the Republicans did...Hillary would win the nomination with PA... Dems assign delagates based on vote percentages not winner takes all...Republicans do winner takes all in primary which is same as US National election. ... And the winner would be Hillary who would of clinched the Dem nomination with a Pa. win. Vote for Hillary ...Obama is unelectable on a national level He only wins the red states in primaries. A vote for him is unrealistic.

We've seen the future that Obama is tauting. Just look at the last 8 years if you want an idea of what it is like to have an inexperienced candidate with not detailed agenda looks like. Obama has been getting an extremely high percent of the black vote even though he's done little and the Clintons have a lifelong record of acheivement in the area of civil rights. Combine that with college age voters who have a superficial understanding of what is at stake and the importance of who is in the White House. I don't want to read the analysis of how an inexperienced candidate got elected and how devastating it was after 8 years of Bush for the next 10 years. If Obama is such a talented campaigner, why can't he provide details concerning what he intends to do if he gets elected. He has outspent Clinton 2 to 1 and he is going to lose PA. I'm not even going to comment on the idiotic "old impressions" slogan because it was obviously written by someone who finds writing in english a challenge. What exactly does "old impressions" mean anyway? Did the poster mean to say business as usual versus a new way of running Washington? What exectly does Obama's "new way" refer to? He's going to conduct an experiment where he does an end run around Congress and goes directly to the people? Ok, and if it doesn't work? Is it even necessary? The "old way" seemed to work fine for Bill Clinton. You just need to vote out the divisive Republicans and keep the moderate Republican and Democratic congress people in office. Things will work just fine if that happens.

That's just a poll for our little backwater. Nationally, it's a completely different story. Obama scrubs her out. The Gallup Daily Tracking poll has Obama ahead among Democrats nationally 49% to 42%. (Last Friday, Clinton had pulled ahead by one point after the Wednesday night debate, but Obama recovered quickly.) The USA Today-Gallup poll (which is not the same as a tracking poll) has Obama ahead by 10 points, 50% to 40%. And Newsweek's poll released on Friday had Obama ahead nationally by 19 points, 54% to 35%. So, PA, think about it as you head to the polls. Do you want to keep screwing things up nationally by voting for Hillary?

Hillary is using the exact same fear mongering strategy which Bush and Cheney used in 2004 to get reelected -- She just released a Bin Laden video days before the election. Disgusting. Obama's campaign posted this video response to Hillary's “bin laden” ad which is a fear mongering ad. -- Ironically, the Obama campaign was able to release a rebuttal in the form of a 2004 video by Bill saying thinking and hope is best. YouTube - President Clinton responds to Hillary's "Children" ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZW0m2nWB_M

Obama's the better of the two, if only because he promises to change the game in D.C., which favors the highest bidder. Until individuals are able to finance $100,000,000 presidential campaigns, the way insurance companies, pharmaceutical co's. etc. do, nothing of significance will change in our lives or in the lives of our children. It's so pervasive it's a cliche, but D.C. is for sale, and you can't afford it. Bitter in PA.? We all are and why not? I discuss this in more detail at my new blog http://sanitycentral.wordpress.com

Waiting for balance. Regarding Gov Rendell talking about Farrakhan. What he was trying to do years ago was exactly what Obama recently claimed to do, mend race relations. He was saying that he admired the fact that Farrakhan preached that black men should stay with their families and help raise their children, because at the time they had to be told that was the proper way. However, the MSM might want to have Obama's church explain what greatness they see in their Man of the Year when he thinks Jesus is a blue eyed, hook-nosed white cracker? I find that extremely offensive.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtPaifksCdk&NR=1

So is California suddenly going to go Republican if she isn't the candidate? Angry? Bitter? Why Not? Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton wholesaling our jobs to Asia. Bill and Hillary. 109 Million Dollars. Enough already! Obama mentions the obvious common folk anger? Reaction: Power elite attack! The media? Bill and Hillary? McCain? The ruling elite? Why the Power Elite distrust of Obama? Not one of them. Who has ever accused Obama of living a charmed upper class life? His childhood? Obama exemplifies the American Dream. What's wrong with that? Hey at least we have religion and guns in America. The Chinese. No guns nor free religion. No guns for China's people. Plenty of guns for Iran, Sudan, Zimbabwe. So what if the Chinese Christians are "underground" and face persecution and are organ donor candidates? When will we have a President that speaks the truth for all Americans? Despite our cynicism and prejudice? When will we have a President who will stand against China, etc. when the truth is not popular economically (for the Chinese)? We are on the cusp of a seismic shift in American politics. His name is Barack Obama. Robert Olson, M.D.
