NextDocs drawing money, attention

FierceBiotechIT includes King of Prussia-based NextDocs as one of its five emerging eClinical firms to watch. Privately held, NextDocs is led by chief executive officer Zik Syed and was founded in 2006.

The company also has offices in Portland, Ore., Paris, Lyon, Munich and Cambridge, England. The Portland office is new - and near Microsoft headquarters. NextDocs has a booth at the Microsoft gathering this week in Anaheim, Calif.

On its web site, nextdocs.com, NextDocs says it is the global leader in providing Microsoft SharePoint-based compliance solutions to life sciences organizations, enabling "businesses in regulated industries to achieve compliance with FDA and other agencies while automating processes, improving efficiency and dramatically reducing costs."

In August, NextDocs got $10.3 million in financing from Boston-based OpenView Venture Partners. The press release is here.

Inquirer columnist Mike Armstrong wrote about NextDocs being Philly's fastest growing privately-held company in August. Read that here.
