If you’re planning a trip away from home, boarding kennels are sometimes necessary. But pet parents often have a difficult time leaving their beloved furry friends in an unwelcoming, sterile environment away from home for an extended period of time.
But one family in Norway solved the problem of boarding with a little bit of creativity.
When faced with the proposition of having to put their bulldog Igor into an uninviting kennel for the first time while the family went on an Easter holiday to Thailand, the father of the family, named Kai, decided to take matters into his own hands.
The loving pet parent renovated a cage at the Labben kennel to look like the family’s home living room. The transformation is truly amazing. Igor’s human dad put some paint on the walls, laid down a cozy carpet, and even replicated the family’s comfortable couch. For finishing touches, the renovation included some artwork on the walls, a coffee table and a dog bed for the adorable bulldog.
When the rest of the family saw the decorated kennel, tears were shed. And how did Igor like his home away from home? Well, let’s just say he was a big fan. During his time away from home, Igor even became best friends with a St. Bernard named Hera.
It doesn’t get more adorable than this folks.
