#PhillyFive Developing Stories: Oct. 22, 2014

Your early look at five of the day's developing stories.

Here's your look at five stories we're following today:

1. Ebola response: As the nation figures out how to respond to the Ebola threat, a new rule goes into effect today, requiring travelers from African nations at the center of the outbreak to enter the United States through one of five designated airports -- including Newark Liberty International Airport -- for enhanced screening. Meanwhile, colleges in the Philadelphia region are taking steps that include suspending travel, training health center workers, and monitoring students' heath.

2. Female leaders: The annual "Women on Boards" report for the Philadelphia area is being released today, and shows there are still few female chief executives and corporate board members in the region.

3. Porn emails fallout: Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Seamus McCaffery, suspended this week from the court for his alleged involvement in the state-employee porn-emails scandal, has been told to turn over his computers and other court-issued equipment, and his home Internet is being shut down this week.

4. Sayreville football: Sayreville High School football coach George Najjar and four others have been suspended for their handling of a team football scandal.

5. Methodist pastor appeal: The United Methodist Church's highest judicial body is scheduled to hear arguments in Memphis today about whether Rev. Frank Schaefer, the southeastern Pennsylvania pastor who was suspended and defrocked after officiating at his son's same-sex wedding, can remain an ordained minister.
