#PhillyFive Developing Stories: Oct. 17, 2014

Your early look at five of the day's developing stories.

Here's your look at five stories we're following today and through the weekend:

1. Ebola prepardness: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett and top health officials are scheduled to discuss steps the state is taking to prepare for any Ebola cases this morning. In Philadelphia, Mayor Nutter and others are also set to discuss preparations, a day after city officials and health care workers clashed at a City Council hearing over the area's readiness to confront the disease.

2. Anti-abortion video: The group Created Equal is set to play a graphic anti-abortion video on Independence Mall on a continuous loop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

3. Taj Mahal ruling: A federal bankruptcy judge is expected to rule whether the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City can cancel the casino's union contract in order to cut costly pension and health obligations.

4. New lottery game: The Monopoloy Millionaires' Club, a complicated new national lottery game, debuts Sunday in more than 20 states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

5. Teachers' contract fallout: A massive demonstration took place Thursday outside a School Reform Commission meeting to protest the SRC's decision to cancel the teachers' contract. The decision is facing a legal challenge, and labor leaders are vowing to take action if courts don't rule in favor of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers.
