1. Snow, cold on the way: Bitter cold and some snow are on tap for the Philadelphia area this week, beginning today.

2. Tollefson trial: Former sportscaster Don Tollefson rejected a last-minute plea deal and will instead represent himself at trial for allegedly selling fraudulent travel packages to more than 200 people.

3. N.J. affordable housing: The New Jersey Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments today about whether the state's courts should take over affordable housing rules.

4. Back to Harrisburg: Pennsylvania lawmakers will be sworn in in Harrisburg today -- including two from Philadelphia facing charges for allegedly accepting cash in a sting investigation -- in the ceremonial start to the new legislative session.

5. Ambler construction: A development proposal in Ambler has ignited debate due to concerns over flooding. An expected-to-be-contentious public hearing about the plan is to take place today.
