5 stories to follow: Nov. 7

Here's your daily look at the stories we're following:

1. Runyan won't run: Rep. John Runyan, a moderate Republican, says he won't run for reelection next year, setting off a scramble for his Burlington County seat. Political handicappers are calling the seat a "toss-up" and a potential pick-up for Democrats. One Democrat, Burlington freeholder Aimee Belgard, is set to run and has a news conference scheduled for today.

2. Twitter IPO: Twitter has set a price of $26 for its initial public offering today. The IPO is among the most highly anticipated since Facebook's 2012 trading debut. Twitter will trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

3. Cherry Hill mansion: They mystery has deepened surrounding an under-construction Cherry Hill mansion that has been wrapped in plastic since construction stalled in 2010. The owner, Denise Williams, has presented herself to township officials as the Grammy-winning singer Deniece Williams -- but has remained elusive since the singer publicly stated she doesn't own the property.

4. PSU president: Penn State is refusing to confirm or deny reports that the university's choice for its next president was the leader of a New York medical school on leave after allegations that he received unauthorized pay surfaced. News reports in Albany, N.Y., said State University of New York Upstate Medical University President David R. Smith was in line to lead Penn State. Penn State abruptly canceled a meeting last week week at which trustees were expected to vote on a new president, and the search is continuing.

5. A.C. mayor's race: Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford, who initially conceded that he had lost his reelection bid Tuesday night, now wants to wait for all provisional and absentee ballots to be counted before considering his loss official. Republican challenger Don Guardian won a close upset victory over the Democratic incumbent.
