1. Bomb suspects' friends charged: Three friends of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are facing charges that they destroyed evidence or lied to investigators about the crime. Azamat Tazhayakov, Dias Kadyrbayev and Robel Phillipos were taken into custody on Wednesday.

2. Woman missing since 2002 located: A central Pennsylvania woman who had been missing since 2002 has been found in Florida. Brenda Heist, who turned herself in to sheriff's deputies in Key Largo, Fla., to face outstanding warrants, had been declared legally dead.

3. Wild Turkey of West Philly: A wild turkey who fled from Bartram's Garden last month has been wandering West Philadelphia, surprising neighborhood residents. They've been posting turkey sightings online

4. Penn State trustees: A contentious race for three open alumni seats on Penn State's board of trustees will conclude and members will vote on new rules when the board meets today and Friday. Trustees are slated to discuss making changes to the board in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky case, and many of the alumni-seat candidates' platforms are based on the child sex-abuse scandal.

5. Cop-killer fugitive: The FBI is scheduled to make an announcement this morning about the case of Joanne Chesimard, a woman convicted of killing a New Jersey state trooper in 1973. She has been on the run in Cuba since 1979, when she escaped from a Clinton, NJ., prison, where she was serving a life sentence.
