1. Kane won't defend gay marriage ban: Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is expected to announce today that she won't defend the state's ban on same-sex marriage. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit this week challenging the state's ban. The suit, filed on behalf of 21 residents -- 10 couples and one widow -- argues that Pennsylvania should recognize out-of-state marriages or give the partners protections equal to those given to straight married couples.
