Here's your look at five stories to know about today:

1. 'Jihad Jane' sentencing: Sentencing proceedings begin today for a Pennsylvania woman who called herself "Jihad Jane" and admitted to helping terrorists overseas. Prosecutors are seeking a penalty of life in prison for 50-year-old Colleen LaRose, of Pennsburg.

2. Church official in court: Monsignor William Lynn is due in court today, for his first hearing since his conviction for his handling of priest sex-abuse complaints was overturned. Today's hearing will review the terms of his release.

3. New rec center: Moorestown's recreation center will reopen today after a $600,000 renovation. Township officials say the new center will offer more sports, arts and cultural programming.

4. Cold weather: The temperature in the Philadelphia region is expected to drop 50 degrees over the next 24 hours, to lows in the single digits. The high Tuesday is expected to reach just about 12 degrees, and wind chill values could be as low as minus 13.

5. Police cameras: A New Jersey state Senate panel is slated to consider a bill today that would require municipal police departments to put video cameras in vehicles used mainly for traffic stops.
