Happy Friday. Here are five stories to know about before the weekend hits:

1. Hit man's release: Len Jenoff, the man Rabbi Fred Neulander hired to murder his wife, Carol, is set to be released from prison today.

2. Cold-weather deaths: Local officials say at least four people have died in the Philadelphia area in recent days due to the cold weather, and the frigid temperatures are likely to last through the weekend.

3. Bridgegate subpoenas: The U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey has issued subpoeanas Gov. Christie's reelection campaign and the state Republican committee. The office is investigating the George Washington Bridge lane closures scandal, and the alleged involvement of Christie aides and allies.

4. Stamp prices rising: A stamp-price hike approved in December goes into effect Sunday. First-class postage stamps will now cost 49 cents, a 3-cent increase.

5. Grammys: The Grammy Awards will take place Sunday night.
