Here's your daily look at five stories to know about today:

1. Gunman kills three at Pa. meeting: Three people were fatally shot during a municipal meeting in the Poconos on Monday night. Police say 59-year-old Rockne Newell had a dispute with Ross Township officials about possible condemnation of unkempt property. An official tackled the shooter and shot Newell with his own gun, according to a Pocono Record reporter at the meeting.

2. Fumo leaves prison: Former Pennsylvania State Sen. Vincent Fumo is scheduled to leave federal prison today, after having spent four years behind bars. The 70-year-old's fiancee is slated to pick Fumo up from the Ashland, Ky., penitentiary and the couple will drive back to Philadelphia. Fumo will then report to a halfway house in North Philadelphia.

3. Philly schools funding: Officials and members from the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, as well as parents, residents and school and employees, are planning a rally at South Philadelphia High School this afternoon to call attention to school-funding cuts and closures. Also today, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Council President Darrell Clarke are expected to meet to talk about education funding. The events come as the Nutter administration says the city won't give any more money to the schools.

4. 90 days for Camden police: Camden County's new, countywide police force has now been on the job for 90 days. Officials in the violence-plagued city will discuss the department's work addressing gun violence today.

5. Sports round-up: It's day 16 at Eagles training camp. The team practices with the New England Patriots at the  NovaCare Complex at 12:30 p.m. Phillies relief pitcher Antonio Bastardo has accepted a 50-game suspension for his involvement in the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drugs scandal. The Phils face the Cubs tonight at Citizens Bank Park at 7:05 p.m. The Sixers are reportedly bringing back several head-coach candidates for a second round of interviews.
