Happy Friday. Whether you're headed out of town for Labor Day, here are five stories to know about before the long weekend:

1. Made in America: If you're staying in town this weekend, the big event is the Made in America concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, which will feature Beyonce, Nine Inch Nails and many others on Saturday and Sunday. 2. Amber Alert: An Amber Alert has been issued for two girls abducted from their Pennsylvania home. Police are looking for 6-year-old Dania Perez, 8-year-old Janeth Perez and their alleged abductor, 23-year-old Hostin Perez-Corza.

3. NFL concussion settlement: The National Football League and thousands of former players have reached a $765 million settlement after the players filed a lawsuit accusing the league of hiding and ignoring evidence that concussions suffered while playing the game cause brain damage. The NFL didn't admit any liability in wrongdoing.

4. Labor Day getaways: There's lots of Labor Day travel news on the eve of the holiday weekend. Some things you might want to know: Gas prices are starting to rise. More New Jersey residents are expected to travel for the long weekend this year. Philly-area cops will be targeting drugged drivers in DUI crackdowns. New Jersey transit is offering earlier bus and train service today.

5. B-17 flights: If you're staying in Philadelphia this weekend, you can take advantage of B-17 flights and public tours at Northeast Philadelphia Airport.
