Here's your daily look at five stories we're following:

1. Abduction murders: Law enforcement officials say a Vietnamese drug gang is tied to the abductions of three men who were thrown into the Schuylkill River on Tuesday, killing two of them.

2. MIA street closures, detours: Streets are starting to close in advance of this weekend's Budweiser Made in America festival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

3. Cop's death in parking lot: An autopsy is slated to be performed this morning for a Lower Providence Township police officer who died of what was believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the police department's parking lot.

4. Barrymore Awards: The nominees for the Barrymore Awards, which recognize theater excellence in the Philadelphia area, were announced early this morning.

5. Opiate abuse hearing: A hearing on opiate abuse is scheduled to take place today in Bucks County, amid reports of rising heroin and opiate use in the region.
