Villanova's Stokes cited for public urination

Villanova junior guard Corey Stokes has been cited for public urination.

The incident took place about a mile from campus outside a bar on Lancaster Avenue early Thursday morning, some 4 hours after the Wildcats' 74-49 win over South Florida at the Pavilion.

Stokes was not arrested, but sources have indicated that he is likely to have to pay a fine.

A starter who averages nine points and four rebounds per game, he is expected to play in tomorrow night's pivotal trip to Syracuse.

"This is a simple mistake by a college student," coach Jay Wright said in a statement. "Corey regrets it and has apologized for it. We will now deal with it within our basketball family."
