St. Joe's adds one player, loses another

Saint Joseph's is losing one player and added another.

Guard Evan Maschmeyer has accepted a scholarship and will be eligible to play this coming season.

Maschmeyer is a 6-3 wing player from Jeffersonville High School and Jeffersonville, Ind. He averaged 15.0 points per game this past season and was an All-Area selection by the News and Tribune. As a junior, Maschmeyer was on the Jeffersonville team that was a win away from the Class 4A State championship.

Also, Center Todd O'Brien has left Saint Joseph's to attend graduate school at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

O'Brien completed requirements for a bachelor's degree at SJU in August. His eligibility at UAB is pending an NCAA waiver.
