Quakers' Rosen named Big 5 player of week

Penn junior guard Zack Rosen has been named Big 5 Player of the Week.

Rosen tied a career high with 30 points in the Quakers' 78-68 win over Delaware. Rosen scored 26 of his points in the final 16 minutes, 18 seconds.

Three players were named to the weekly Big 5 honor roll:

* La Salle senior forward Jerrell Williams, who set a career high for the third time this season with 24 points against Rider. He also had a season-high 14 rebounds.

* Temple sophomore forward Rahlir Jefferson, who scored a career-high 18 points in a victory over Ohio University. He made eight of nine field goal attempts and had eight rebounds.

* Villanova senior guard Corey Fisher, who scored 20 points on 8 of 10 shooting.

Saint Joseph's freshman guard Erin Shields was named Big 5 Women's Player of the Week award. Shields scored 15 points in the Hawks' 50-45 win over Delaware.

La Salle senior guard Ashley Gale was named to the weekly honor roll. She had 17 points, four assists and four steals against Seton Hall.
