Owls face challenge in Kent

We open the New Year against a really good basketball team in Kent State. They have a local kid, Albert Fisher (Pennsauken HS), who is a terrific basketball player. He is a great scorer and will give us a lot of matchup problems.

Kent State is well-coached, like all of the teams in the Mid-American Conference. Not enough people in the East appreciate the quality of play in the MAC, as fans here do not know as much about those teams. To have to play four MAC games, two being on the road, is hard for our program. But it is a challenge we accept, and look forward to when we take the court at the Liacouras Center for just our third home game of the season Monday night. Look forward to seeing you there.

Happy New Year and Go Owls!
