'Nova's Armwood to transfer

POSTED: Thursday, August 18, 2011, 3:11 PM

Villanova junior Isaiah Armwood, a 6-8 forward, is transferring. He started all five games on the Wildcats’ recent trip to Europe, where he averaged 2.8 points and 4.0 rebounds.

Last season he started seven times, and averaged 2.5 points and 3.6 boards in 17.4 minutes. Perhaps his biggest claim to fame was making a rare three-pointer to beat George Mason in a tournament in Puerto Rico in the third game of his career.

He felt that at the rate things were going, he was not going to make the NBA. Seems like he only went to college for b-ball
