“Morning Madness” is occurring at the DAC on Tuesday.

Penn (0-1) makes its first men’s basketball visit to Drexel’s Daskalakis Athletic Center at 10 a.m. as a daytime feature of ESPN’s 24-hour hoops marathon. The game is Drexel’s season opener.

The game is sold out and is the fifth of 14 games on ESPN’s marathon TV schedule that begins at midnight with UMass at Memphis and Tyreke Evans, the highly touted freshman from Chester.

“Drexel athletics is thrilled to be part of the new ESPN-sponsored college hoops marathon,” Drexel athletics director Eric Zillmer said. “While the 10 a.m. time slot brings some interesting logistics to the table, such as hosting a game during class and working hours at Drexel, my colleagues at Penn and I thought it would be a great way to celebrate Philadelphia basketball on national TV within the context of a friendly neighborhood rivalry — breakfast at the DAC!”

Penn lost, 86-71, at No. 1-ranked North Carolina last Saturday.

Parking is available, for a fee, in the Drexel garage, at 33rd and Market streets.
