Jay Wright to serve as NCAA tourney analyst

Villanova coach Jay Wright will join CBS' and Turner's coverage of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday from the New York studio.

Wright will be a guest analyst for the pregame and halftime shows for the regional finals beginning at 3 p.m. along with analysts Charles Barkley, Greg Anthony, Kenny Smith and host Greg Gumbel.

He also will appear on "Inside March Madness" on TruTV at 10 p.m.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo will serve as a guest analyst for the regional semifinals Thursday and Friday from the Atlanta studio, with coverage beginning at 7 p.m.

He joins the studio team of analysts Seth Davis and Steve Smith, who played at Michigan State while Izzo served as an assistant coach, along with host Ernie Johnson.

    No this is what you get when you know the game of basketball and have prven yourself over the years! I'm sure the suit doesn't hurt though!

    CBS must not be aware that Dunphy was also available. After all, Dunphy is the superior coach, having one NCAA tournament victory in the last 10 years. Dunphy may be unavailable as he is probably interviewing for NBA head coaching positions.

    Stormin, why must you bring Dunphy into this discussion? I don't see his name mentioned in the article or any previous comments? I'll tell you this, Dunphy would not have let his team collapse against Rutgers or George Mason they way that Wright did this year.

    Honestly I wouldn't mind Dunphy as an analyst either.. but I'd rather hear Jay speak the game.
