Hawks pull another upset

ATLANTIC CITY - Carl Jones hit a pair of free throws with 8.2 seconds to play and Saint Joseph’s, which needed a last-day win to even reach the Atlantic 10 Tournament, upset Duquesne, 91-88, today in a quarterfinal game at Boardwalk Hall.

Jones finished with 28 points, Ronald Roberts had 19 and Idris Hilliard 18 as the 12th-seeded Hawks (11-21) led for most of the game over No. 4 Duquesne. The overtime was set up when Roberts’ dunk with 4 seconds to play tied the game at 79.
