Hawks' Jones suspended three games

Senior guard Carl Jones, the leading returning scorer for Saint Joseph's, will sit out the first three games due to a violation of the university's community standards.

The suspension was to begin with tonight's exhibition game against Wheeling Jesuit.

Jones also will miss Monday's game against Yale and the Nov. 16 game against Notre Dame at Brooklyn, N.Y.

Saint Joseph's said it will have no further comment on Jones' status.
