Former 'Nova assistant gets head job at BU

Former Villanova assistant basketball coach Joe Jones has been hired to replace another Wildcats assistant as head coach at Boston U.

Jones, who was an assistant at Villanova from 1997-2003, replaced Pat Chambers, the new Penn State head coach. Jones comes to BU from Boston College, where he was associate head coach for one year. Before that, he was head coach at Columbia for seven years.
