Eagles QB Michael Vick says he would go on the Oprah Winfrey show before CNN's Piers Morgan, telling 97.5 The Fanatic's Mike Missanelli that he knows nothing about Morgan, but grew up watching Oprah. Missanelli asked Vick about the bet between Oprah and Morgan over who would land a Vick interview first Wednesday afternoon during a live broadcast from the Aloft Hotel. "I think it would be great to go on the show, the timing just has to be right and uh, we'll see...I think if a bets made she'll probably win it...cause I know nothing about the other guy," Vick told Missanelli. He said his mom and aunt have "been calling me like crazy wanting to go so it may have to be something I have to consider."

The Onion, the popular news parody publication, is finally coming to Philadelphia. A print edition of the weekly paper, also online at TheOnion.com, is expected to launch here this spring. The paper is also looking for a Philadelphia city editor to oversee the local editorial operations though the bulk of the product will be the often hilarious news stories such as “Tip of Area Man’s Tongue Refuses to Relinquish Richard Crenna's Name,” and “Nation’s Porn Stars Demand to be F---ed Harder.”

The paper started in Madison, WI in the late 1980s and also has print editions in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Boulder, New York and Washington, DC. The paper has considered launching a Philadelphia edition for several years. Sources tell us the satire paper will be printed by Philadelphia Media Network, which owns the Daily News and Inquirer at its Conshohocken printing plant and that PMN will also be more deeply partnered with The Onion.

Asked if PMN would be printing or partnering with The Onion, PMN’s Vice President of External Affairs Mark Block offered an elaborate no comment.

This really is no contest, but Oprah Winfrey and new CNN talk host Piers Morgan have made a bet of 200 British pounds over who can land Eagles QB Michael Vick on their show first. Smart money is on Oprah, not the bloke who just Monday took over for Larry King. An Eagles spokesman confirms both shows have reached out in hopes to book Vick but that there are no plans as of yet for him to appear on either program. The bet was made during Morgan’s interview with Oprah which aired Monday.

A camera crew was on hand for the event, at which Valastro ice skated with the boys, who are both in the neighborhood of 13 years old, and about a year-and-a-half apart. Their parents, Kara and Howard Fraiman, run the Ashley's Angels charity, which helps special-needs children. It's named after their late daughter, Ashley.
