Wife of Wired 96.5's Chio files for divorce
Shawn Acosta, the wife of Wired 96.5 morning man Chio has filed for divorce. “She and Chio are parting as the best of friends,” says her attorney Lois Garber Schwartz, adding that her client has no further comment. The couple in April celebrated their 20th anniversary in April at the Victor Cafe (13th & Dickinson) and had been seen together publicly several times since.  In January 2006, Chio aka Tim Acosta, accepted a radio gig at XHTZ in San Diego, California, and quit the next day. "The truth of the matter is I had two options," the former Q102 morning host told us at that time. “I could either stay in San Diego and let my marriage and family dissolve, or move home with no job and put my family back together. In the past, I've put radio first before my wife and kids, but now it was time to put my professional career on hold and fix the most important thing in my life," he said of Shawn and the couple’s three children. Chio did not immediately return a phone call this afternoon.

Being married to a radio "personality" must be so annoying. She must also have been tired of having a whale climb on top of her.

soccermom - do you know Chio personally or have any access to their family life? Of course you don't. But a mane like 'soccermom' sums it all up. Probably an overweight, scorned man-hater!

iceman- Do not judge me for my name or what I know about Chio. His reputation as a cheater is well known. You think a "mane" like soccermom sums me up. I guess a five foot four inch woman weighing 122 pounds that wears a size six is overweight. And with a name like 'iceman' I am sure you are a real hit with the ladies!

When you are not picky about who you sleep with you are ALWAYS gonna get caught... and he is NOT picky, trust me I seen him in action! He doesn't even TRY to hide it! His wife has too much class to put up with this loser anymore!

My friends and I are sooooo happy that she finally had enough. I met her a few times at the Woodbine and she is the most down to earth real person and seems to intelligent to have been married to a DJ. We wish you luck and happiness with your children. Make sure they don't marry a Radio personalty.
