Evil Twin Booking, a West Philly-based talent agency, has been inundated with e-mails and phone calls related to its representation of former Weather Underground radical Bill Ayers. Gov. Sarah Palin has recently ramped up criticism of Sen. Barack Obama's ties to Ayers, who, along with his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, and other members of the radical group bombed various government buildings in the '70s. Obama and Ayers, now a University of Illinois professor, served on a nonprofit foundation's board together and Ayers once hosted a party for Obama. We're told that Evil Twin Booking/Lost Film Fest partners Scott Beibin and Liz Cole have received more than 1,000 e-mails and tons of calls in recent days with everything from interview requests to attack letters accusing the pair of aiding and abetting terrorists. Evil Twin books speaking engagements with Ayers, his wife and several other Weather Underground members and others including actor Ed Begley Jr., authors and filmmakers. Beibin and Cole declined comment yesterday.

G they were arrested but got off on a technicality plus his daddy Ayers, Sr. was the head of the Chigago political group so I'm quite sure that he greased a few hands to get Jr. off on the technicality.

Hey DanIsGay, what's with the NeoCon obsession with Kool-Aid, is that where Sean Hannity and Glen Beck put your brainwashing drugs? This 'guilt by association' by John McCain is such a desperate attempt by a losing candidate who has NO CLUE on how to address the issues facing Americans today and will do and say anything to win. "Country First"???? Sounds more like 'John McCain First'. I guess that means Walter Annenberg is also a terrorist as he sat on the same board with Ayers. What about John McCain who served on the advisory board of the Council for World Freedom who sponsored ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America?

McCain left his wife for a younger richer model, and she had to raise the kids as a single parent. Nice character.

G: Ayers was arrested but the Feds could not prosecute because he was released on a technicality (phone tap was not warranted). And twpguy45: you call Ayers repentent? Where is that playing? In a NY Times article about him in 2001 (in fact it was Sept 11 when it was published), he was quoted as lamenting the fact that the Weather Underground and its bombs, "Didn't do enough" damage. Some repentent, huh? And this was no casual relationship. They both worked on a board that distributed millions to left wing groups across America. It was in Ayers HOUSE that Obama developed his strategy that led to his being elected to the IL Senate. Of course, when someone brings this up, you and the left press scream "NO FAIR". Well, it is fair. You sleep with dogs, you get fleas. One other thing, there is another former domestic terrorist who is now a high ranking Democrat (but I can only assume he is repenent too) in the US Senate. His name is Robert Byrd and he is lionized in the press for being the Senate's "conscience" What a joke. This is the reason we cannot win the war on terror. Democrats see no terrorists; only wayward repentents who just reacted negatively to evil America. Instead of having Ayers in prison, the left reward him with a professorship at a college. I guess it will be a matter of time before Osama Bin Laden will be made a full professor at Harvard. Next time you go off about the evils of the Republicans, read your history, though I do not suppose you will like what you find.

In regards to the Obama-Ayers connection, hundreds of educators who know Ayers personally are speaking out in his defense and in response to the media's use of this "terrorist connection". -- http://www.supportbillayers.org

Why are you guys basing Dan? This is the news of the day. He doesn't make this up. You can't make it up. You can't write this as fiction, because everyone would accuse you of trying to be the next Tom Wolfe.

What's the big deal? So the guy who bombed the Pentagon hosted Obama's coming out party in his own home! So what if they served on multiple boards together. BIG DEAL! As my mom says: you are the company you keep.

I agree with america, but to correct one point, that Ayers is a "repentent bomber". he has never apologized. Never. He is as evil and despicable as right-wing nutjob Eric Rudolph, or the Unabomber. Anyone who carries out acts of violence like this should be locked up for a long time. That's why aging fugitive German Nazis from the WWII era still need to be hunted down, twpguy. Because violence is wrong. We forget history at our own peril.

twpguy...no mean-spirited attacks coming from the left, huh? Stop it. The crazy left and the crazy right are just too out-there to be trusted. Somewhere in the middle is where we all need to meet. Palin is NOT a 'slimebag', neither is Obama. Stop buying into this craziness. How can we ever ask for or even hope for world peace when we can't even get along here in the USA? God, I can't wait until this election is over.

To call nitwit Palin's attacks mere "criticism" is ridiculous. She's using slander and hate-filled innuendo, and she will ultimately pay dearly in her own political career for being a mouthpiece for the hate-mongering morons running McCain's tired and desperate campaign. Palin’s new stump speech twists Obama’s ill-advised but fleeting and long-past association with William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground and confessed, repentent bomber. By the time she’s done, she implies that Obama is RIGHT NOW a close friend of Ayers — and sympathetic to the violent overthrow of the government. Obama, she says, “sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.” This kind of hateful innuendo has resulted in some totally unacceptable responses from her audiences: A recent Washington Post report said at a rally in Florida this week a man yelled “kill him!” as Ms. Palin delivered that line and others shouted epithets at an African-American member of a TV crew. So, we've gone from "bomb bomb Iran" to "drill baby drill" to "kill him [Obama]," all with the open approval and encouragement of McCain and his bubbleheaded beauty queen running mate. Real class act, these slimebags.

If they are really terrorists, why aren't they arrested? This is crap. And I hope people don't fall for it again. Let's do background checks on every person you've ever dealt with in your life, and see if you're guilty by association. Ed Begley Jr., TERRORIST!!!! Come on, we have to be better than this.
