VIDEO: Fox 29's Chris O'Connell attacked during live broadcast

Fox 29 reporter Chris O'Connell was attacked during a live broadcast from the site of a South Philly animal hoarder story at the beginning of Tuesday's 10 p.m. newscast.

Fox 29 reporter Chris O'Connell was attacked during a live broadcast from the site of a South Philly animal hoarder story at the beginning of Tuesday's 10 p.m. newscast. O'Connell returned to the broadcast later and said that he and cameraman Dave Edwards were OK and that the attacker, who he identified as the homeowner's son, was in police custody.

    Chris gets points for even going near that house.The neighbors said the smell coming from the house was unreal.

    FOX29 should have sent Bolaris to do this report. He's a real man!

    Steve Keely would have taken care of that mess. Or at least sprayed the assailant with iodine.

    I am a little disappointed that the extended footage wasn't posted. It got even better as the officer and some neighbor tackle the son to the ground. I'm looking forward to the follow-up story when Damon Feldmen asks the horder's son to take part in one of his fauxlebrity boxing matches.
