Veteran broadcast journalist Ramon Zayas will be the face of Telemundo Philadelphia, the new Spanish-language newscast. Zayas will host the 6 and 11 p.m. broadcasts. Telemundo Philadephia is scheduled for a 2014 launch.

Zayas comes to Philadelphia from Telemundo Network News in Miami, Florida, where he had anchored morning show “Un Nuevo Dia” since 2011. Zayas signed off from the program in September.

Also joining the Telemundo Philadelphia team is Claribel Collazo, who will serve as the assistant news director.
