Spike Lee speaking Monday at Temple
Dan Gross
Lee will speak at 7 p.m. at the Great Court at Mitten Hall (1913 N. Broad). The lecture is open to the public but Temple students will get priority seating. The Academy-Award nominated director most recently released “Miracle at St. Anna,” about four black American soldiers in WWII based on Philly-author James McBride’s book. At the event, Temple’s Main Campus Programming Board will be selling tickets for a raffle for a chance to dine with Lee after his lecture.

Spike Lee tells the truth in all of his movies, and he may say or write some things that are not easy to hear. I for one am glad he made this movie Miracle at Saint Anna, because if we let our caucasion brothers tell the story No African American ever served in WWII or no wars for that matter and we all know that the brother's are always the first to fight their country, even thought we're always accused of not be patriotic enough.!!!!! ackridgek
Temple University has a movie business??? Who edits this stuff? I learned that is incorrect english back in 6th grade. scars73
oh wait, ackridgek, you may sound smart, but you are dumb. have you forgotten about the fact that the military was segregated at that time (WWII). wanna see a good movie, watch the 'red ball express' made in 1952 and please don't say that african american soldiers didn't do anything during any wars and it wasn't documented by a film. they served, they fought hard. it hasn't been forgotten.
