South Philly guy on MTV's "Real World: DC"

South Philly's Josh Colon hopes that his position on the cast of "The Real World: DC" will lead to a reality-TV career.

Colon, 23, who was raised at 8th and Oregon and works at both Pat's King of Steaks and Tony Luke's, said that he was "the guy with the girlfriend" when the cast mates moved into the house and that "there will be some interesting story lines because of that."

Asked if he still has a girlfriend, Colon said, "You'll have to tune in to find out."

Colon, a Furness High grad, is also a musician. His punk/funk band, Wicked Liquid, is planning an East Coast tour.

Colon said it took a while to get used to the heckling that cast mates faced while out and about in D.C. "Everyone is just trying to be part of what you do. It's mostly jealousy."

"Being on TV - period - was a dream," says Colon, who hopes to inspire others to pursue their dreams. Colon would like to compete on the "Real World/Road Rules Challenge" shows, but for now is excited just to see himself on "The Real World," which premieres Dec. 30. "Watching it back is going to be wilder for me," Colon says. "I'm curious to see what they're going to use."
