DJ AM, raised as Adam Goldstein in Philadelphia, was critically injured last night in a South Carolina plane crash that killled four people and also seriously injured Travis Barker, former blink 182 drummer, the Associated Press reports. Goldstein (on the left in the photo) and Barker perform together as TRVSDJ-AM and had played a free concert near Columbia, SC. The pair are both being treated at a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, according to the AP report. The small Learjet crashed shortly after take-off, killing two passengers and two crew members, whose identities have not been released, the National Transportation Safety Board told the AP. Goldstein was scheduled to be in Philadelphia this Wednesday to pose for a group photo of more than 100 Philadelphia DJs as part of the first annual Philadelphia DJ Day. He was also scheduled to perform Thursday night at Pearl (1904 Chestnut). We expect the injured DJ to miss both local appearances as he recovers both physically and emotionally from the tragic airplane crash.

When derogatory and hateful things are said about the "Good Ole white boys" the comments are removed. However, when insulting and belittling comments are said of a respectable African American male that was murdered. The offensive comments stay. It's time for Philly.com to reveal its true identity.

The only time Dan gets new commenters on his "stories" are when they get attention on the homepage otherwise its the same great commenters everyday. This was evident in the Drexel story a few weeks ago when Dan received around 90-100 posts. Dan, I think you should take care of your loyal commenters like you did Larry. I didn't see you ratting him out. Like they say in the wrestling business, any reaction whether positive or negative is great, its only when you get no reaction are you in trouble. Steak, great post but if you keep calling them out they may ban you for life. I guess there is a little slice of China down on 400 North Broad.

I have to agree with Get Out of My Way - former Rosie O. Cheap shots at the Gross one are fun now and again, but let's turn the majority of our ridicule back to the quasi-celebrities and functional illiterates he glorifies.

georgiapeach: You'll have to be more specific because, with your fat rolls, there could be a lot of shady areas. Thanks.

Patrick M- for your info, I'm a size 5-6 with a well toned body, free of any rolls. Now, since you want me to be specific. YOU can kiss my A double S.
