PAL to NB2: We don't want your money

 

Lt. Susan Slawson of the Police Athletic League just reached out to say that PAL does not want and will not accept any proceeds from NB2 Apparel from sales of its Alycia Lane parody apparel we mentioned here. Slawson said she had no knowledge of NB2's intent to contribute money to PAL, but said the organization does not wish to benefit from any materials designed to mock another person.

Go, PAL. Bloggers and both Philly newspapers have attacked Alycia Lane without knowing the facts yet. Who knows what happened that night? I think people are jealous of her good looks and success--who hasn't done things they regret? She could be innocent, no one knows yet. Come on, Philly, let's not be so judgmental--it's Christmastime. Lane has done a lot for the community. Give everyone a chance and the benefit of the doubt.....

I don't think that Lt. Slawson has the authority to say whether or not PAL would accept the money. That decision is up to the Police Commissioner. Lt. Slawson is merely the commanding officer of PAL. She could be transferred to another unit and PAL would still go on.

good looks and success have nothing to do with interfering in police business and being respectful and civil. you say not to be judgmental but yet it's perfectly okay for you to pass judgment on people by calling them jealous. as for PAL making a statement, since the president of CBS3 is on PAL's board of directors and alycia lane has hosted PAL event, whattaya expect?

How many more facts do we need to know, she hit another human being, even if she didn't know it was a police officer. Why would anyone get out of their car to complain about the driver in front of them, especially at 2AM in NYC? Drink much?

Her hatred towards people of other sexual orientations is despicable. There is no room for such shallow poodles in the media. Aside from on Fox.
