Obama to be interviewed again on 610 WIP Wednesday morning

Sen. Barack Obama is to be interviewed again by Angelo Cataldi on 610 WIP’s morning show between 7 and 8 on Wednesday. This time, we hear, he'll be discussing sports instead of politics. His last appearance made national news after we pointed out here that he used a curious turn of phrase, “typical white person,” to describe his white grandmother.

On a  related note, WIP VP/GM Marc Rayfield has come out in support of Obama, and has volunteered in several capacities for the campaign. "I've been a Republican and an Independent, but I made the decision to jump in. He's my guy," Rayfield, who recently registered as a Democrat, told us today." I really do believe that this country needs change. I don't think he has all the answers, there's a sincerity about him that makes me think he's the right candidate. Of course, we will offer all the candidates time on our station, but I have let the Obama campaign know that as a personal citizen he is my candidate," says Rayfield who has donated more than $1,000 to Obama's campaign.
