Marisa Tomei won't attend Friday's Studio Incamminati gala at the Union League, but that doesn't mean the Academy Award winner won't be there in the flesh.
A nude portrait of Tomei, painted by world-renowned portrait artist Nelson Shanks, will be among the pieces on display at the event to benefit the Center City art school, which also offers art education outreach programs to area schoolchildren.
The gala is a preview of the artwork in Shanks' one-man exhibitions at the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg and the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow.
