Fox Chase native Jennifer An is in the running towards becoming "America's Next Top Model."

The 13th cycle of the Tyra Banks-helmed show premieres Sept. 13 on CW Philly 57.

An, whose family later moved to Ambler, says that the biggest lesson she learned on the show, which already taped, was that "confidence is everything in this business." "When you allow one critique or one bad photo shoot to bring you down, it's hard to get back up," says the Upper Dublin High School graduate. As for living in a house with 13 other girls, An says, "It's pretty standard to expect an extremely messy house and catfights galore. There wasn't much to learn in that department, although I would have loved to have been surprised."

She's lovely. These shots show you without makeup to give the panel an idea of the basic bones of the face, the figure, and the raw material. Men are duped by a little fake hair, nails, and make up. Remember these are kids. This girl is likely only just 18. Most models start four years younger.

scars73: sorry sir, while I'll admit when chicks are hot and out of my league (and this one obviously is, if for no other reason than she's a model and full of herself), she's close to being perfect; a tall, thin asian girl. unfortunately her face reminds me less of lucy liu and more of a foot.
