Looks like Lane will be removed from CBS 3 holiday special

Station sources tell Daily News reporter Regina Medina that Lane will be edited out of the CBS 3 holiday special "Celebrate the Season," scheduled to air at 7 p.m. tomorrow and several more times.

Meanwhile, here is the full statement from CBS 3 regarding Alycia Lane released by CBS 3 spokeswoman Joanne Calabria:

"We have been in touch with both Alycia and her attorney.  Both emphatically state that when all of the facts are made public, she will be exonerated.  Alycia says that she never struck anyone nor made the disparaging remarks that have been attributed to her.  She was scheduled to begin two weeks of planned vacation time beginning next Monday.  Given the circumstances, she and station management agreed that it would be best if she begin her time off today so that she can handle this pressing situation."

So Lane and her attorney are saying that the police made it all up? Likely story. Typical of society today - Deny Deny Deny instead of owning up for your actions.

"They have to believe me because I'm so beauuutiful. And I'm an anchorwoman, so I makes teh newz. Can u liv wit no newz?" She should do a holiday special with Paris and Britney.

Alycia and Jocylin Kirch are both phonies. But at least Jocylin Kirch didn't punch any police officers.

Seriously? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? I mean, it's completely rediculous about all the gossip flying around this person. You don't think cops overexaggerate?

Alexandra, people like Lane and their schlock reporting have substituted the mass media for the courts. The presumption in the mass media is guilty until vindicated in a court of law, then still guilty if people in the mass media think you did it and got away with something. She was acting too big for her britches, harassing plainclothes detectives in the middle of the night in NYC. What did she think was going to happen? She's dumb.

I am a retired New York City cop ....I think the truth about what happened lies somewhere in the middle but the people leaving comments all say ..ohh the cops are crooked so she is not wrong or she is a media bitch and got what she deserved so it seems the people leaving comments are just as guilty as the people they speak of.In casting a judgement without all the facts......Let the dust settle and get all the facts ....nuff said

What's more likely? Multiple police officers making a sworn statement that carries severe penalties for lying? Or a celebrity with an ego denying committing a crime?

Yes, Alexandra, honestly. Nobody can get involved in a confrontation with police after they've been drinking and expect to be exonerated. You obviously don't mind being a second rate citizen if you think it's ok to let people like Lane and her girlfriend Booker off the hook.

What kind of a name is Booker anyway? Who does he think he is, Jack Lord? Booker Dan-O.

She should be fired from the station. I e-mailed the station telling them she should be fired from the station and you should e-mail the station telling them she should be fired. If you want to e-mail the station you can find the e-mail address on the station website so you can tell them that you think they should fire her. I think she should be fired from the station. This has been a dark day for CBS 3 and I hope that Larry Mendte is doing well. How is Larry Mendte doing?
