Guarino bows out of boxing, can't risk black eye during sweeps

Rob Guarino is no longer involved in the May 16 Celebrity Boxing event at World Gym, on the Boulevard. The former Fox 29 meteorologist had been scheduled to fight "Tailor Made," a VH1 reality star, but dropped out. Guarino says his new station, KOAT in Albuquerque, N.M., told him it "can't take a chance of me getting a black eye or injury" during the May sweeps period. Tailor Made will now take on Daniel Morroni, a real tailor, who recently fought as "The Tailor of Terror." NBC 10 Sports Director Vai Sikahema will be inducted into the Celebrity Boxing Federation's Hall of Fame, and presented with an award at the May 16 event, which is headlined by a bout between actor Willie Aames and Norristown's Mike Fazio, who was recently seen on MTV's "A Double Shot of Love."
