Fox 29 has hired Weather Channel morning anchor Scott Williams as its new chief meteorologist, finally installing a permanent replacement for John Bolaris who left the station in January.

Fox 29 has hired Weather Channel morning anchor Scott Williams as its new chief meteorologist, finally installing a permanent replacement for John Bolaris who left the station in January.
Williams will do weather on the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts and starts on-air June 4 a station spokeswoman confirms.
While Williams hasn't worked in Philadelphia, he certainly enjoys the city's musical output. His Weather Channel bio lists "Love" by Musiq Soulchild and "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men among his favorite songs.

- @syddan26: Racism works both ways. FOX is in federal court because Evans mounted a successful campaign to get Tom Burlington fired after he used a racial slur that everyone in a news meeting was using because the subject matter of that meeting was that word, and it's context in a news story. The judge has delayed the trial so far, but eventually Evans will have to explain how she was able to affect management decision for a meeting she was not a part of. BTW, this is not inside info or anything, all of this was reported in the original story.— drbob1

The brotha is good. I've seen him on the WC...Still, if i want to watch the weather report, i want a solid chic in a tight dress. Ch10's Sheena or Ch3's ladies float my boat. Ch6's Cecily Tynan looks like Skeletor or the Cript Keeper.- This is a bigger mistake than when Fox dissed Bolaris for doing nothing wrong. I hope John got a huge go away present.
