Ed Snider quietly files for divorce from third wife

Comcast-Spectacor Chairman Ed Snider has quietly filed for divorce from his third wife, Christine Decroix Snider.

"While he is a public figure, he leads a private life and doesn't want to discuss it," Ike Richman, spokesman for Comcast-Spectacor, owner of the Sixers, Flyers, Wachovia Center and Spectrum, said of Snider. "I can tell you that he is unhappy about it, and he will not discuss it publicly," Richman said.

The couple met in June 2004 and married in November 2004 at Snider's Montecito, Calif., estate, which is next door to Oprah Winfrey's place. Belgium-born Decroix, 52, is a jewelry designer. She and Snider, 76, yachted through the Caribbean on their honeymoon and have since split their time between their California and Gladwyne homes.
