“It’s a private matter,” replied marketing man Gene Kolber when we asked about the paternity of his newborn granddaughter. His daughter, ESPN “Monday Night Football” reporter Suzy Kolber gave birth to a baby girl, Kellyn, in Connecticut yesterday. The Dresher-raised Upper Dublin High graduate “decided to become a single mother,” Gene said, before politely declining to further discuss his 44-year-old daughter's pregnancy, which was kept well hidden during her sideline reporting and her ESPN/ABC NASCAR coverage. Baby Kellyn weighed in at 6 ½ pounds, and was 19 inches long. ESPN's "SportsCenter" reported the birth last night. Suzy's on maternity leave for now, but as she does each year, Gene says Suzy expects to cover the NFL Draft again in late April. Until then, she’ll be hanging out with her mother, Gene’s wife Sandra, at the couple’s Ventnor home.

We wish the newly-expanded Kolber family the best.

Another fatherless child. Good job Suzy, I would at least think you would know who the father is. Keep on sleeping around

Oh I see money makes up for a father, you set me straight. I guess she wont be traveling anymore, so the kid will have her mommy home each night. Idoubt that.

I'm thinking either Jevon Kearse, or Takeo Spikes, as they have both fled Philly recently.

You need some setting straight. Like this kid will struggle like so many children born fatherless? Right-wing idiots, like you, love to lump them all together. Of course, that's the easy way to do it. Still an idiot.

I don't believe that Suzy wants a man nor does she need a man. Last time I checked, a man was not mandatory to raise a child. Keep on doin' things your way, Suzy.

Wasn't she the only female who played football in her high school? One wonders if she's gay....wouldn't be the first time a lesbian wanted to give birth. I've always lamented gorgeous lesbians; such a waste!

Chuck Norris is the father of that baby. He's man enough to lay milk at even a lesbian's doorstep.
