Dykstra got $1,800 diamond bracelet from NBC10 on top of free dinner

POSTED: Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 9:06 AM

Being interviewed by NBC10 could be one of the best decisions Lenny Dykstra has made in ages.

On Monday we told you that Dykstra and a hot blonde were comped a meal at The Palm (200 S. Broad) where NBC10 sends its "Sports Final" guests for dinner.

We've since learned that the bankrupt former Phillies star, in town for a sports-card show, also picked up an $1,800 diamond bracelet for his ladyfriend at Steven Singer Jewelers (8th & Walnut), which also has a trade arrangement with NBC10. The Palm dinner and Steven Singer gift cards are disclosed as gifts to guests at the end of the Sunday "Sports Final" show.

We're told that Nails let his companion choose her gift while he spent most of his time in the store talking on his phone and signing baseballs for a few employees.

A station spokeswoman did not return our inquiry as to whether most guests receive nearly two grand in gifts to the jewelers.

That's the going price for watching a train wreck? They could get Charlie "Malibu Messiah" Sheen for free.

I hope Nails declares that "trade" income on his 1040s. He really wouldn't want the IRS on his case in addition to his current bankruptcy.

Not that it's good in any way - but if you were in his horrible situation, wouldn't you do the same thing? I think I would.

I'm not a Dykstra fan, but is it possible to find a worse picture to publish with this article?

What's the phone # for NBC? Hell, can I be their guest on this Sunday's show? I didn't make millions as a professional athlete, but I could use a $700 dinner and $1800 worth of jewelry.

That gift will be on Pawn Stars next episode.
And does anyone know if Steven Singer still gives his clients free beer? That could be Lenny's problem.
I really hate Steven Singer now. I wouldnt give this idiot the penguin dung on the side walk in front of Steven Singers store.
