Demi Moore, Parker Posey to soon shoot Philly movie?

Parker Posey and Demi Moore may be in town soon shooting director Mitchell Lichtenstein’s indie family-drama “Happy Tears,” as Posey told a pal of ours last night at a dinner for Paul Simon at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The title is also that of a famous work by the director’s late artist father Roy Lichtenstein. Posey told our tipster she was looking forward to hanging out in Philly, and that the movie starts shooting here in less than a month. Lichtenstein directed the recent horror/comedy "Teeth," about a teenage girl suffering from the urban legend of vagina dentata. Posey said Rip Torn is playing her father in the upcoming film, which Lichtenstein has recently spoken about in interviews though he said no casting decisions were formal. Neither the film itself, nor the participation of Posey, Moore and/or Torn could be found on the Internet Movie Database. Calls to the Greater Philadelphia Film Office and an e-mail sent to Lichtenstein’s production company were not immediately returned this morning about if and when the movie may shoot locally.
