Comcast SportsNet adds Sixers sideline reporter

Comcast SportsNet has hired former La Salle University volleyball player Meredith Marakovits as its new Sixers sideline reporter for all home games. Marakovits, who has worked for ESPN 950 starts with Wednesday’s home opener against the Miami Heat. She’s not the only new face on Comcast SportsNet, and will join former Sixer and new color analyst Eric Snow and longtime announcer Marc Zumoff during the broadcasts. In other keeping it in the family moves, Comcast SportsNet added former Sixers coach Jim Lynam as a basketball analyst. His daughter Dei Lynam, who used to be on-air at CSN now covers the Sixers for CSNPhilly.com. Jim Lynam joins Temple and NBA vet Marc Jackson, a former Sixer, and Villanova and NBA baller John Celestand on CSN’s pre and post-game live shows.
