Carnie Wilson hosts 'Newlywed Game'

"We're so conservative," says Carnie Wilson before answering our question on the strangest place she and husband Rob Bonfiglio have ever made whoopee. "The bathroom, or the shower, or the closet," Wilson confessed.

Why would we ask such a thing? Because she's hosting the Game Show Network's reincarnation of "The Newlywed Game," at 6 p.m. weekdays starting April 6. The Wilson Phillips singer and daughter of Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson, once lived in Manayunk with musician Bonfiglio, formerly of Wanderlust, whom she's been married to for nine years. Now living in Los Angeles, Wilson is pregnant with their second daughter, who they'll name Luciana. Luciana is due in June. Wilson says they eat at Ristorante Pesto (1915 S. Broad) when they come to town to visit Bonfiglio's family.

"I've always loved game shows," said Wilson, who "had a blast" taping "The Newlywed Game."

Each episode pits the winning duo against a couple from the original 1970s show hosted by Bob Eubanks.
