Benefit Saturday for Philly punk legend Mikey Wild

Philly punk legend Mikey Wild is sick and will play at a benefit in his honor Saturday appropriately titled “F--- Cancer.” The show at Connie’s Ric Rac (1132 S. 9th) features Bitchslicer, Boogie Witch, Live Not On Evil, Cisco Jeeters, Beast Infection, The Dark Lords of Stonehurst and Scareho, with whom Wild, who's known as the Mayor of South Street and can be found selling $2 drawings around the Italian Market, will perform. His artwork will be on display and for sale. Admission is $10 for the benefit show which begins at 7 p.m. Wild has been performing music and poetry in Philly for more than 30 years. His repertoire includes songs such as "I Hate New York", "Chicks With Dicks", and his best known, "I Was a Punk Before You Were a Punk, Punk".

OMG! It worked. My last comment got the shut down. Let's see. Mikey Wild is amazing, but let's talk about a Dead Milkmen reunion. 3 great things have come out of Philly: Benjamin Franklin, Liberty, and the Dead Milkmen, make that 4, and Noam Chomsky.

I will show you an amazing trick if you don't know who Mikey Wild is. There is a website called "Google" the address is www.google.com. Go to that site, and in the middle of the page, there is a blank spot. Type "Mikey Wild" into that spot and click on the button that says "Google search". That will give you "results", look through the results to learn more. The "internet" is truly amazing.
