"He was the sweetest, nicest person anyone could know," April Margera told us this afternoon about "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn, who was killed early this morning in a car accident in West Goshen.
"He always said we were his second mom and dad," said April, mother of "Jackass" star Bam Margera, referring to her and her husband Phil. A tearful April said she has been close to Dunn since 1993 when he and her son became friends.
"Just please let everyone know what a great person he was," she asked us.
April said she was sure it was just a rumor when contacted this morning by Casey Foster of 93.3 WMMR's Preston & Steve show but that she was devastated after calling police who confirmed Dunn's death which she then relayed to Foster.
Dunn was a regular on the show, having last appeared on-air on June 1.
Here is a clip from Sunday's "Minute to Win It," on NBC, in which Dunn, who recently started hosting a show for G4 "Proving Ground," appeared alongside "Jackass" cohort Steve-O.
