Alycia Lane's attorney Paul Rosen has issued a statement regarding her termination from CBS3.

Paul Rosen is chair of the litigation group of Spector Gadon & Rosen, P.C., Philadelphia.

"We have learned today that KYW-TV (Channel 3) has unilaterally terminated Alycia Lane's employment. The conduct of KYW-TV is contrary to the terms of her Employment Contract which has many additional years remaining. The termination comes at a time when there has been absolutely no determination that Alycia is guilty of any wrongful conduct, and after KYW-TV has aired her categorical denial of the alleged charge that is pending against her. The termination is unfair because Alycia has never had an opportunity to defend against this charge, and tell her side of the story publicly, before KYW-TV has taken this unusual and unwarranted step to terminate her employment. Obviously, on the advice of counsel, Alycia cannot talk about these matters because of the matter that is pending in New York."

Rosen did not immediately return our calls and e-mails to ask whether he was planning to file a wrongful termination suit against the station.

she became a liability, she cant not report on the news when she is the news for her run-ins with the police. The good conduct clause in any on air personalities contract gives CBS3 the ability to fire her.... and if she does somehow win a suit against CBS3, they can ban her from working anywhere else until her contract is up....does she want to work or get paid and be forgotten, shes not getting any younger

Mr. Rosen is absolutely correct in that Ms. Lane has not had her day in court. However, employers often fire employees without cause, even us little people. Ms. Lane should take a step or two back and revisit the events of that faithful night in NYC. Maybe, just maybe, she'll remember the events as they really happened and tell her overpriced mouth pieces to shut up.

Mr. Rosen is absolutely correct in that Ms. Lane has not had her day in court. However, given how celebrities (even in her own mind) think they are above the law, Ms. Lane should at least be required to spend one memorable night in Rykers.

I'm no lawyer...but I'm pretty sure that Pennsylvania is an "at-will".

I don't think Alycia has any choice but to do a sit down interview with Dan Gross to save her reputation.

Guess what Bubby, life's not fair. Since when does an employer have to give an employee the opportunity to defend against continued ill behavior. Yes, besides, PA is indeed an at-will state.

Who cares what "her side" side of the story is. She should not have not put her herself in the position in the first place. As a "Celeb", she know that she is under the microscope. If she wants to clear the air, get on the Kidd Chris show and tell you side. She is a disaster.

Aren't we "at-will" unless you have a contract? She will settle and move on and do better

All of this in the larger scheme really does not matter. Her profession is all about the ratings. Ratings translate to money. If I were one of the other stations I would hire her today. She will increase their ratings. Naturally I would place an escape clause in the contract. I would also hire her an assistant to help her avoid future issues, incidents or problems.
