And the big story on Eyewitness News is that CBS 3 anchor Alycia Lane is currently locked up in a New York jail cell after being arrested early this morning for allegedly punching a female police officer in the face.
Daily News reporter Regina Medina is reporting exclusively that Lane, 35, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. today at the corner of W. 17th Street and 9th Avenue and later charged with one count of assault witih intent to cause physical injury to an officer, said NYPD spokesman Sgt. Carlos Nieves. The 10th Precinct officer suffered lacerations to her face, Nieves said. Lane was also accompanied by an unidentified male, according to the NYPD report.
Lane recently began dating Q102 morning host Chris Booker. Medina's calls to Booker's cell phone were not immediately returned today, nor was a call to a CBS 3 spokeswoman. Lane's cell phone went right to voicemail. Calls to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office were not immediately returned this afternoon.
Sorry, but Lane is an egostical loser with obvious homophobic tendencies. If anyone else was arrested theyir employer would move to terminate them almost immediately. Lane should be fired. Besides, finding another good looking woman to do the news isn't difficult, it's not like you need a lot of talent to look good on tv. She is obviously dumb as rocks outside of the newscast.
